quote I came to this Hong Kong-style restaurant for dinner on Friday evening. This is not a typical Hong Kong-style Cafe i.e. Cha Chaan Teng (Chinese: 茶餐廳) that we can easily find in Hong Kong. Having said that, some of their food are really available from some Cha Chaan Teng in Hong Kong, such as their daily meal (Chinese: 常餐), Hong Kong Rice Bowl (Chinese: 碟頭飯), Hong Kong-style noodles (Chinese: 港式粉麵), Hong Kong-style Sandwiches (Chinese: 港式三文治), Toasties and Hong Kong Street Food / Snacks (Chinese: 港式街頭小食). Interestingly, this restaurant also offers so called "western food" (Chinese: 港式西餐), such as pasta (Chinese: 西式意粉) and sizzling (Chinese: 鐵板餐). In fact, they also provide Vietnamese cuisines like Beef Pho, Banh Mi, Bun Bowl and Com Tam (rice bowl). So they captured different good food among different Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng and Vietnamese restaurants and brought them into one restaurant in Adelaide. This is really amazing. I haven't seen a similar Hong Kong-style restaurant in Sydney or Melbourne, but I am really happy to see this restaurant is available in Adelaide. To be honest, I haven't been able to find any traditional and authentic Hong Kong-style Cafe in Adelaide yet, except maybe there are one or two quite ok in Chinatown but I would not say they are by any means close to those modern Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng. Back to the food that I ordered and tried. They were all very delicious and the meal was really enjoyable. Perhaps next time I will come here for lunch as I can try those lunch choices to see how good they are. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Hong Kong-style to visit this unique restaurant in Adelaide.

quote Been there twice now and the second time we were a bit disappointed as the flavor/quality of the food was inconsistent. The first time we can clearly tasted seafood and spring onion in the braised pork trotter but the second time the flavor was not as rich and it tasted not as fresh. The pineapple bun with butter was pretty good. The portion of the braised beef was quite small. Drinks were average.

quote Spacious restaurant with plenty of seatings. The menu has a lot of options. Even includes Vietnamese pho and steak. The beef brisket is very tender and flavoursm. Steak was cooked medium well but still tender, would've preferred it less cooked. Mushroom sauce tastes like its from the can. Has good buttery crispy buns. Overall bit pricey.

quote Had a fantastic time there with a friend! The fish balls were superb, with a bold curry flavor and a wonderfully chewy texture. The chili oil was excellent, especially paired with the curry. The fried chicken rice was delicious, though a bit more scallion sauce would have been perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by their pasta; the garlic clams were fragrant and the pasta was cooked just right. Loved that you can ask for extra chili if you like it spicier. With so many great options, I’m definitely looking forward to coming back for more!

quote Spacious eating place with plenty of seats when we visited for lunch. Ordered a Satay Beef Noodle set, polo buns with butter, Beef Tripe Noodle, Beef Tripe with Rice and beverages (Yuan Yang and Milk Tea) The food was tasty and pretty much reminds us of those we find in HKG. Polo bun was a hit for us, but it would have been better if the butter didn't melt as much in the buns. Guess the bun was too hot when the butter was inserted. Noodles were good and as salty as those we found in the streets of HKG. Will definitely return to try other dishes. 👍
